Tuesday 6th January, 2009:
Professor Sergei Tcherkasski, Professor of Acting and Directing, and Head of the Acting Studio at the St Petersburg Theatre Arts Academy, visited Rose Bruford to give a mastercalss and workshop on scenes from Chekhov’s play The Seagull. This event was jointly sponsored by the College’s key practitioner scheme and the Stanislavski Centre. Professor Tcherkasski worked with a group of 16 students drawn from the BA Acting and MA Theatre Practices programmes, and the three-hour session was observed by a group of over sixty other students and members of academic staff from the College.
