John Martin is the founder and Director of Pan Intercultural Arts, an organisation dedicated to the exploration of cultural diversity through the arts and how such work can inspire and implement social change. PAN is funded amongst others by the Baring Foundation, Heritage Lottery, Arts Council England, British Council, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and Children in Need among many others. He is the author of The Intercultural Performance Handbook and, with Mojisola Adebayo and Manisha Mehta, Theatre for Development Handbook. For many years he has been participating in several College research projects connected to his work on Pan’s Refugee Arts Programme, Arts Against Violence Programme, and Theatre for Development, including Act: cultural relations and conflict, in which he is a world-leading figure. www.pan-arts.net
