Wlodzimierz Staniewski is the founder and Artistic Director of the internationally acclaimed Centre for Theatre Practices Gardzienice. As a director and writer he has given masterclasses and lectures for the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre Studio, Barbican Centre and Magdalen College Oxford in the UK; Getty Centre, NYU, Yale and Stanford University in the USA; and the Theatre Conservatoire, Paris, and the Meyerhold Centre, Moscow. Links between the College and the Centre were established in 2009 with a Master lecture by Staniewski following a series of workshops for European Theatre Arts students led by core members of Gardzienice; and continues with research projects by individual members of staff. www.gardzienice.art.pl
