Tony Graham

Tony Graham is an Honorary Fellow of the College and has taught on the MA in Theatre for Young Audiences since its inception in 2010. At that time he was Artistic Director of The Unicorn Theatre and was instrumental in bringing about the creative partnership between the theatre and the College which enabled the establishment of the MA Programme; and inspired and focused much of the research which is now investigated through the Theatre for Young Audiences Centre. He expanded the international remit at The Unicorn with the work of Catherine Wheels (Edinburgh), Theatr Iolo (Wales), Unga Klara (Sweden), Gruppe 38 (Denmark), Speelteater (Netherlands) and Kaze-no-ko (Japan); and as a director he won the TMA Award for the Best Show for Children and Young People for his production of Phillippa Pearce’s Tom’s Midnight Garden, adapted by David Wood. He is currently Visiting Professor at New York University, and organiser/curator of NYU’s Theatre for Young Audiences Forum.
