DumbWise’s new family musical adaptation of Terry Jone’s Nicobobinus was developed at the college in Spring 2013 as part of Rose Bruford College’s commitment to supporting new writing for young audiences. The devising and script development process culminated in performances at The Tramshed in Woolwich, followed by an Easter weekend showcase at Greenwich Theatre.
The show has now being co-produced by DumbWise and Red Ladder Theatre for national tour within 2015.
‘This is a new departure for Red Ladder but it was the drive, verve and vitality of the workshopped performances with highly trained and talented Rose Bruford undergraduates that inspired me to support the work. The work Ms deBonnaire (RBC Actor Musicianship graduate and DumbWise composer) has done on composing and arranging her own new material is outstanding and, again, reflects the impact the college has had on supporting and nurturing these highly talented individuals.
